​US Lacrosse Women's Official's Training and Certification Process

​New Official's Clinic

***** Classes are limited to 10 participants.  Only serious inquiries please.  Participants must provide own lunch.  Bottled water will be provided.

$75 Fee (Thanks to the Florida Lacrosse Official's Council (FLLOC) and The Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation (FYLF) for their generous donation!)

rice includes class fee, SFWLO 2024 dues and starter kit. Payment via Zelle to [email protected] secures your spot.

​Please wear comfortable clothing including running shoes. You MUST:
  • be at least 15 years old
  • be a current USA Lacrosse member ($55 adult membership online/$35 youth) - register as an official under the Southeast Florida Board. If you are a minor, you may need assistance registering for a USL membership and/or the ONLINE course.  Have a parent call US Lacrosse at 410-235-6882 ext. 102.
  • complete the 2 hour USA Lacrosse women's game official's course PRIOR to clinic. If it is not completed, you CANNOT take the clinic. 
  • Due to the Florida Lacrosse Officials Council's and Florida Youth Lacrosse Foundation's generosity, starter kits will be provided to all NEW officials. Officiating shirt, warning cards, Fox 40 whistle, penalty flag, scorecard, pencil, lacrosse coin, and tape measurer will be included in the kit.
  • Field trainings on Saturdays will be held after the classroom training.  Typically it takes multiple on-field trainings to become certified.  New officials observe games and shadow experienced officials on the field before moving onto experienced officials shadowing new officials.  Officials stand for their rating (field test) to complete their certification.  Officials may be required to wear a communication device when training.
  • New officials must attend the annual RULES INTERPRETATION that is held in January.  
  • Review the ANNUAL REQUIREMENTS page to be clear about maintaining certification as a USA Lacrosse women's game official.
